An ancient Ethiopian monastery, the Holy Trinity Monastery (located near the site where Jesus was baptized in the Jordan Valley), is set to undergo major renovations. Abandoned since the 1967 war due to landmines, the area has finally been cleared of explosives, allowing the Ethiopian Orthodox Church to begin restoring this historically significant site for pilgrims.
